Arborist Reports & Assessments
Certified arborist documentation for every purpose — risk assessments, development reports, construction supervision, consulting, and quick health checkups.
Tree Risk Assessments (TRAQ)
Using the ISA's Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ) methodology, our arborist partner evaluates a tree's structure, health, and likelihood of failure to produce a defensible written risk report. Level 1 covers most residential situations; Level 3 is a more detailed assessment for complex or high-value trees. Both are accepted by municipalities for permit applications, by insurers for claims, and by courts in disputes.
- ISA TRAQ-certified assessments (Level 1 and Level 3)
- Single-tree and multi-tree pricing
- Written, defensible reports accepted by municipalities, insurers, and courts
- Support for hazard-based permit applications and fee waivers
Tree Preservation & Development Reports
Building near trees you need to retain — or trees the municipality requires you to protect — takes documentation most cities won't proceed without. Our arborist partner prepares tree preservation plans and development-focused reports that identify which trees to retain, map protection zones, and support your permit or rezoning application.
- Tree preservation and retention plans
- Tree protection zone mapping for construction sites
- Documentation for building permit, subdivision, and rezoning applications
- Recommendations on which trees to retain vs. remove
Tree Protection Supervision & Compliance
Many municipalities require a certified arborist to be on-site — or to confirm afterward — that tree protection measures held up during construction. Our arborist partner supervises work near retained trees and provides the supervision letters and compliance reports municipalities ask for before releasing permits or security deposits.
- On-site supervision during excavation or construction near protected trees
- Tree protection fencing and root zone verification
- Supervision letters confirming protection measures were followed
- Post-construction compliance reports
Arborist Consulting
Not every situation needs a full written report. Sometimes you need an expert opinion, a second look, or ongoing advice on managing trees across a property. Our arborist partner offers hourly consulting for exactly that — from neighbour disputes to long-term tree management planning.
- Hourly consulting — no formal written report required
- Expert opinion for neighbour or boundary tree disputes
- Tree management planning for larger or multi-tree properties
- Second opinions on other assessments or quotes
Tree Health Assessments
Not sure if a tree is dying, dangerous, or perfectly fine? A tree health assessment is a lower-cost, on-site walk-through where our arborist partner looks at your tree(s) and tells you what's going on in person — no formal written report, just a straight answer and clear next steps.
- On-site visual health check with verbal findings
- No formal written report — lower cost than a full assessment
- Clear next steps: monitor, prune, remove, or escalate to a formal report
- Priced per tree, so it scales to however many you want checked
