Local timing note

Heritage Mountain and the Seaview slopes dry out first in July and August, and are the same ground that turns soft enough to limit equipment access from November through February.

Permit threshold: 30cm+ DBH on any property. Port Moody tree bylaw

These windows follow standard arboricultural practice for coastal BC and are a planning guide, not a prescription for a particular tree. Timing shifts a week or two with elevation and with the year’s weather, and nesting rules and municipal permits are the binding constraints. Have an arborist confirm before you schedule work.

Not sure what your tree needs this month?

Our ISA-certified arborists can walk the property, confirm the right window, and get the permit paperwork moving before the season closes.
